What does “?” on my 24h card printout mean?
The “?” pictogram indicates an unknown time period. This is where there is no activity recorded against the driver. Generally, analysis software will interpret the “?” as an assumed break/rest period.
The “?” can typically occur when the driver has not recorded a manual entry for the time period where the card was not inserted into the tachograph.
The driver is given the option to record a manual entry when they next insert a card into the tachograph. The manual entry can only be recorded from the last card extraction up until the current card insertion.
